Planning blog: Location, participants, health, schedule

 

 Hello! Welcome back! Today, I'll be going over the information for our final task.

Location

Our group will be recording at the beach, one of our houses, the park, inside of a car, and little shops around areas like ice cream stores and such. These places such as the beach are perfect because our movie timeline takes place during the summer in Florida where many people's activities during the season are based around the beaches and pools. That would tie into places like the little shops since many like to go get ice cream or go into stores along the beach to get souvenirs and more. We chose the park since it would portray the idea of "going out on small dates/ hanging out", same with rides in the car. We aren't exactly sure if we'll use some other places to film yet due to the distance and schedule.

We'll all be taking turns in the filming process and sharing ideas when we start editing the movie. We will not be excluding anyone because we all have great ideas we can contribute and it would be unfair.

Health:

Nothing in our group revolves around having to do anything dangerous or being in situations that could lead us to trouble but we will have parental supervision. There are members of our group who are certified and licensed in CPR as well which could possibly help if we run into an issue and each of us also could contact the emergency services.

Schedule:

Filming days: 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/18 

Editing days are: 2/14, 2/19, 2/23, 3/1, 3/3 

1/19/24: Prepare for the filming. Talk about props, makeup, lighting, who will handle the camera, acting, and other details. Take care of the minor aspects in advance of the filming.

1/27/24: We'll start shooting at the beach, focusing on scenes one through five. This will provide material for our production blog, which is due later in the week.

2/3/24 - 2/10/24: On the second and third filming days, we'll aim to complete as many scenes as we can, taking advantage of the weekend to minimize the need for additional filming days later this month.  

2/14/24: Start editing the scenes we've recorded, covering scenes one through hopefully twelve or fifteen. Depending on how many scenes we manage to edit, we'll decide whether to complete the editing on the first of March or postpone some edits for later in the month.

2/17/24 - 2/18/24: Last days of filming. As they fall on the weekend, the aim is to complete all filming. These two days will be utilized for shooting at any chosen locations if necessary.

3/1/24 - 3/3/24: Both days are dedicated solely to editing the remaining scenes. On 3/1, we will address any necessary revisions to edits made earlier. On 3/3, we will focus on editing the final shots.

3/9/24: Gather to discuss our completed project, review the film, discuss any changes to the film review blogs, write our CCR, and submit our final task.

Our backup plan :

If a participant in our movie can't continue, we'll either find replacements or eliminate their role. We're flexible with the schedule and can adjust to accommodate everyone's needs, especially in case of serious issues. We've already talked about simple solutions for any challenges that may arise in the making of our movie.
