Planning blog: Script

 Hello and welcome back. Today I'll be showing you guys the script we've planned on as of right now.

Movie Title: "The Sun-Kissed Goodbye"

**EXT. BEACH - DAY**

*The friend group enjoys the sunny beach. Alex introduces Noah to the group.*

**Alex**

"Everyone, meet Noah! He's a good friend of mine. I thought it'd be nice if he hung out with us today."

* Dalilah whispers to her friends about her interest in Noah.*

**Dalilah**

(Excited)

"Guys, Noah's cute. I'd love to get to know him better."

**Gabi**

"Go talk to him for a little!"

**Dalilah**

"Yeah, no. I'm not even going to bother embarrassing myself like that."

*The girls sitting with Dalilah start to laugh*

**Riley** 

"Dalilah, you're not going to embarrass yourself. Just go say something."

**Dalilah**

"I don't care. There's no chance. I'll just wait till he comes up to me and if he doesn't then he doesn't. It's not a big deal."

"I'm going to go play volleyball with the rest of them, are you guys staying here?"

**Gabi**

"Yeah, we'll just stay here for a bit. I think we're both a little tired."

*Dalilah walks away and the girls start to discuss how they're going to talk to Alex and try setting Noah and Dalilah up.*

*A couple minutes later the girls and Alex found a way to give Noah and Dalilah some time alone to start a conversation.*

**EXT. BEACH - DAY (LATER)**

*The group sets Dalilah up with Noah. They begin to talk, getting to know each other and setting up a time to next hang out.*

**Noah**

This is a really great group. I'm really happy I met you all today and I hope we can see each other later this week Dalilah. I do have to get home though so I wanted to say bye to everyone first!

*Noah says bye to everyone, giving Dalilah a hug, and walking off to his car.*

**MONTAGE - VARIOUS DATES**

*Scenes of Dalilah and Noah enjoying summer together - walks on the beach, picnics, laughter.*

**INT. NOAH CAR - EVENING - NIGHT**

*Summer is now coming to an end. Noah and Dalilah are in Noah's car because he's dropping her off back at her house after hanging out.*

*At the end of their goodbyes, Noah hands Dalilah a letter*

**Noah**

"I need you to promise me something."

**Dalilah** 

"What is it?"

*Dalilah begins to worry when she sees how Noah's tone has completely changed*

**Noah**

"Promise me you won't open this letter until tomorrow morning. I can't really explain it but just promise me that."

**Dalilah**

"I promise, but is everything okay? You were just fine a minute ago and now you're acting so.. weird"

**Noah**

(Smiling)

"Everything's fine. I love you Dalilah and I just want you to know that you genuinely made this summer one of the best for me."

**Dalilah**

(Smiling)

"I love you too Noah and trust me, it goes both ways. I had so much fun and I'm really happy that you and I got a lot more closer."

" I have to go now, but goodnight."

*Noah hugs Dalilah and Dalilah starts to get her stuff together and gets out of the car."

*Dalilah gets into her room, places the note on her desk, and gets ready for bed.*

**INT. DALILAH'S BEDROOM - MORNING**

*Dalilah wakes up, remembering the note, and gets up to read it*

**Dalilah**

(Reading the note in her head, her face begins to drop)

*Voiceover by Noah*

" Dear Dalilah,

Expressing this in person was too difficult because it hurt too much. Not only would facing you would hurt for me, but watching your reaction would have would've broken my heart on the spot. When we first met, I never shared the complete truth. I came to Florida on vacation, but the reality is that I live in Colorado, and my stay here was never intended to be long. I've known Alex for years from when I lived in Florida; we were neighbors. However, I moved away, and I can't really explain why.

I know you're reading this the morning after I gave you the letter because, as you finally open this, I'm at the airport, heading back. It was too difficult if you were to try and stop me. I wanted to tell you the truth, but I got carried away each time we hung out, and it felt like it was too late at a certain point. I didn't want to risk ruining what we have, or... had. Spending time with you made this the best summer I could have asked for. I caught deeper feelings and cared for you more than I thought I would. Your personality is incredible; you always make me laugh and ease my worries, and every moment with you has been amazing. When I said I love you, I meant it, and I regret saying goodbye this way. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, and I'm deeply sorry if this hurts you. I'm uncertain if our paths will cross again. Alex didn't tell you I actually moved states because he himself didn't know. He was aware of some personal problems but never asked about what happened when we were younger. The day I met you was the day I saw him after a couple of years, and we were both surprised. When he asked about me suddenly gone one day (the day I left), I made up some random excuse on the spot due to embarrassment. I know that wasn't right, and again, I apologize. Alex and I hung out a couple of times alone after that beach day, and I never clarified the true reason I left. I wish I had told you sooner and shared the full truth behind everything, especially since you're the first person I felt I could truly open up to, but I couldn't, and too much time passed. Once again, I'm so sorry for all of this, and I genuinely hope you understand how meeting you changed a lot for me. I love you, Dalilah.
