Sparking New Ideas
Hey ya'll! Welcome back. We've got some progress to talk about. Sloane, Stella, Noah, Dalilah, and I made plans to go one day after school to the park and record for a little. Nothing much but just a couple shots for one of the date scenes we're doing. We went to the soccer fields at the park and got some clips of Noah and Dalilah playing soccer and just having fun. Noah and Dalilah are dating in real life which is why we chose them to be the couple for this project. Using other people, especially in our age group, could've been harder to film. Personally, when being filmed, I get shy and freeze up. Dalilah's on the more shy side so we didn't make it as noticeable when recording which came out more natural instead of forced or obvious that she's acting. Noah is very similar in that aspect. As they were just goofing around or playing soccer, we snuck around them and started recording. We went back to watch and got their little hugs and giggles. We recorded some extra shots with Sloane and Stella playing with them as if they were all hanging out as a group. Noah and Dalilah were still around each other more so when watching the clips, it looks as if they're comfortable around each other and the focus is still mainly on them two, even when in a group of their friends. In the last blog, I explained how something I was worried about was the microphone picking up the wind but in these clips at the park, the wind wasn't as noticeable. When we put all of the "date" clips together, we wanted to mute the clips in a sense but leave the sound on only for specific moments. Moments like Dalilah's laughing or phrases that someone in her position would think about. Phrases such as "I love you", because it's more memorable. That's it for now. Thank you for coming along on the journey with us and we'll have an update soon so get ready!
